Limits

We all hate limits, so here at easybackup we aim to make this as simple as possible.

    • No Maximum File Size

You can backup any file of any size or type.

    • No Maximum Number of backups

Need to run multiple restorations? Schedule different jobs at different times? Not a problem. You can create as many backup profiles as you require.

    • No Backup/Restore limits

Backup whenever you want, restore it whenever you want. The data is yours and you should be able to manage it when you need to.

    • Maximum Number of Management Installations

We understand you are not always able to be in the office. You can install and manage your server via the management client from any PC or MAC with an Internet connection.

    • Bandwidth limits

We do not charge for your data transfer, you only pay for what you store.

    • Bandwidth limiting

Worried a frequent backup will slow your speeds throughout the day? Not a problem, you can specify a maximum bandwidth you wish the backup software to use, even if it’s just between office hours.

Schedule

Whether you are paranoid about data loss and need to backup every 15 minutes, or see backup as a distraction to your work and need it to be done while you are out of the office, the choice of backup schedule is yours!

    • Timing

Choose from Weekly or daily at a time which suits you. You can also run more frequently though the day should you choose.

    • Multiple Schedules

Should you choose to, you may set as many schedules as you wish.

Storage

You don't have the time to check every single detail for every single backup. What you need is a simple, clear and secure location to backup all your data. What can we offer?

    • User Control

Who controls what is backed up? You do!

Whilst we are available to help you setup the software, it is ultimately your decision what you want or need to backup. You can change or update your backup locations as many times as you want.

    • Security

Any files you submit for backup are encrypted with an Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) 256 bit encryption before being transferred to the server. Only users of your account will have access to anything you backup.

    • Database

Yes. With easybackup you can backup MS SQL or MySQL, as well as MS Exchange databases.

    • Compression

All data uploaded to the servers is compressed using an industry standard Block Level Compression. This will minimise the space stored on the servers, giving you more room to backup more files within your limit. This will also assist in keeping your bandwidth down.

    • Volume Shadow Copy Service (VSS)

A VSS allows you to make a backup even if the file is locked. This means even if you backup every 5 minutes the backup will not affect anything you are currently working on. [1]

Restoration

Ok, my files are backed up, so what happens if the worst should happen?

I'm sure most of us have been there at one time; data loss can be one of the most distressing occurrences. You don't want hours of stress so we aim to provide a fast and simple recovery option.

    • Restore To

Choose the location you wish to restore to. Either the original location or a new location of your choice.

    • Previous Versions

Keep multiple versions of the same file, track amendments and should you accidentally save over your best, restore the previous versions from the server instantly.

    • Retention Period

You can specify how long you wish to keep backups of old file versions. There is no limit to how long you can store these previous versions.
